The Alpha-Stim® SCS

The Alpha-Stim® SCS treats anxiety with tiny electrical currents similar to those found naturally in the body, using a method called cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES). The treatment is simple. The current is applied by easy-to-use clip electrodes that attach to your ear lobes.

How To Use...
The *Alpha-Stim® SCS* is so simple to use it's as easy as 1,2,3!!
1... Wet the clips with the enclosed conductive solution, and attach them to your earlobes.	2... Press the left-hand button to switch on, and press the right button to select 20 or 60 minutes.
3... Adjust the intensity of the stimulation using the dial on the side.	What does it feel like? You may feel a slight tingling sensation under the electrodes, but it is not necessary to feel this in order to achieve results. Most people feel nothing at all except positive results. Many people experience a feeling that their bodies are lighter, while thinking is clearer and more creative.

General Questions...

What causes anxiety?

Anxiety can be caused by chronic pain, concern over a physical injury or disease, the disappointment of loss (of love, money, or death), excessive worry about children, finances, health, academic, athletic, or social performance, even something as routine as going to the dentist - in fact, any major event in life, whether real or perceived. Anxiety also interferes with the ability to focus attention on a problem, so finding a solution can seem like an impossible task.

What are the consequences of anxiety?

Untreated anxious feelings can result in agitated states producing symptoms including disturbed breathing, muscle tension, raised blood pressure, sweating, trembling, increased urination and/or diarrhea, disinterest, difficulty concentrating, a tendency to worry, hostile and aggressive feelings, reduced arousal, feeling exhausted, and loss of sleep.

Panic is pronounced state of anxiety characterized by fear, extreme insecurity, suspiciousness and a tendency towards projection and disorganization.

How can the Alpha-Stim® SCS help?

The Alpha-Stim® SCS empowers you to control your anxiety. Used just 20 to 60 minutes every day, every other day, or on an as-needed basis, it can help induce a relaxed state and enable the user to focus attention on the task at hand.

The Alpha-Stim® SCS is well tolerated and very safe in contrast to drugs used in the treatment of anxiety, many of which have been proven to have undesirable side effects, can be addictive and even leave the drug user in a stupor.

Unlike drugs, the Alpha-Stim® SCS leaves the mind alert. The person undergoing CES treatment will often report a pleasant, relaxed feeling of well-being. Anxiety reduction is usually experienced during treatment, but may be seen hours later, or as late as one day after treatment. Alpha-Stim® CES produces a relaxed, yet alert state. As a result, theAlpha-Stim® SCS is perfect for clinical or home use.

What scientific research has been conducted?

At present, there are over 100 research studies on CES in humans and 18 animal studies. No significant lasting side effects have been reported.

One recent study looked at 207 anxiety patients. Physicians commented that, after using CES treatment from the Alpha-Stim®, 12 patients (5.8%) reported complete relief from their anxiety, 58 (28%) reported a moderate improvement, and 110 (53.1%) reported an improvement between 75 and 99%. In all 97.58% of the anxiety patients experienced significant improvement of at least 25% of their symptoms.

How does the Alpha-Stim® SCS work?

TheAlpha-Stim® SCS is distinct in that it is based on the concept that the biophysics underlying the body's chemistry also plays a significant role in regulating all of life's processes. Using waveforms at a level of current similar to the body's own, it bridges cellular communications reestablishing the normal electrical flow.

Doctors in every discipline are taught that there are about 75 trillion cells in a human body, each having an electrical potential across its cell membrane, just like a battery. The Alpha-Stim®'s proprietary waveform works by moving electrons through the body at a variety of frequencies, collectively known as harmonic resonance. This insures the right frequency will be delivered to reestablish homeostasis within the affected bioelectrical system. The other frequencies pass harmlessly.
